Listen now (21 mins) | Matt Drake discusses the Habs and Bruins getting a little out of hand thanks to the refs, as well as the night's tank moves
The refs last night were clownish/amateurish. At least they got it right when Hoffman was crosschecked in the face. That's the best thing that can be said about them. That said, I thought that the Habs actually deserved a better fate last night (even though the regulation "L" is better for the team in the long run). They were the better team for most of the first period, the much better team for the entire second period (did you think that at any point, Montreal would double up Boston on shots?), and pretty much even in the third period. I was glad to see the team compete (and get the regulation "L"!!), and clearly the Boston-Montreal rivalry is still very much alive, despite the vast discrepancy between the teams in the standings.
